Brave Macaw Saves Its Chicks From Deadly Snake
High in the rainforest canopy, a bright-feathered macaw was returning to its nest. But something was wrong. The usual chirps from its two chicks had turned into sharp cries. The macaw flew faster, heart racing.

When it reached the nest, it saw the danger — a long, deadly snake had slithered inside. Its body coiled around the branches, moving closer to the tiny chicks. The macaw let out a loud screech and dove at the intruder.
With wings flapping and beak snapping, the macaw attacked. It pecked and scratched, forcing the snake back with every blow. The snake struck once, narrowly missing, but the macaw didn’t stop. After a fierce fight, the snake finally retreated, disappearing into the leaves.
The macaw landed at the nest, breathing hard. The chicks were scared but unharmed. Gently, the macaw nudged them, checking for injuries. Then, knowing it wasn’t safe to stay, it made a choice.
One by one, it helped the chicks onto its back, balancing them carefully between its wings. With a strong beat of its feathers, the macaw lifted off into the air, carrying both babies to a safer tree nearby.
The new nest was quiet and hidden, high and safe. The macaw tucked the chicks under its wings and watched the jungle below. It had fought for its family — and won.
